About the Journal

Aims and Scope

The Journal of the Asian Concrete Federation (ACF Journal) provides a forum for concrete engineers and scientists in Asia and around the world to disseminate and exchange the latest technical information on concrete materials and structures.

The ACF Journal is hosted by the Asian Concrete Federation and published on a regular basis. The Editorial Board of the ACF Journal consists of distinguished scholars from ACF member countries as well as invited leading scholars worldwide.

Topics of articles include, but are not limited to, the following research areas:

  1. Concrete structures;
  2. Concrete materials and technology;
  3. Maintenance, monitoring, repair, and strengthening;
  4. Sustainability;
  5. Architecture and engineering; and
  6. Recent studies and related topics.

Ownership and Management

The ACF Journal is owned and published by the Asian Concrete Federation (ACF). The journal is managed by the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board, who make all editorial decisions independently.

Open Access Journal

The ACF Journal is a peer-reviewed open-access journal. All articles published in the journal are immediately and permanently available for everyone to read, download, copy, and distribute free of charge.

Article Publishing Charges

To reach researchers worldwide and to remove barriers to research dissemination, the Journal of the Asian Concrete Federation is an open-access journal that does not charge subscription fees or article processing charges.

Discussions

Discussions on any article published in earlier issues of the ACF Journal are welcome and may be published together with the authors’ closure.

Publishing Policy

The ACF Journal is published quarterly, with issues released in March, June, September, and December each year.

Advertising

Advertisements may promote company services or products, as well as technical services. All advertisements must ensure relevance to the scope of the journal. The Editor-in-Chief retains the final decision on advertisement acceptance. All advertisements must comply with national and/or international regulations. Online advertisements should be related to the content of the journal or readers’ professional interests. Advertisements must remain entirely independent of the editorial decision-making process and be clearly distinguished from published content.

Archiving

The ACF Journal has established a reliable electronic archiving system to ensure the long-term preservation and accessibility of its content. In the event of discontinuation, all published issues will remain permanently accessible through the ACF website.

All content on this website: © Asian Concrete Federation, its licensors, and contributors. All rights reserved, including rights related to text and data mining, AI training, and similar technologies. All open access content is subject to applicable licensing terms.

Copyright Transfer Agreement

Upon submission, all manuscripts are by default considered to have their copyright transferred to the ACF Journal.

The ACF Journal does not assert an open access policy over copyrighted articles. Authors are responsible for obtaining written permission to reproduce material already published elsewhere.

Process for Identification of and Dealing with Allegations of Research Misconduct

To uphold academic integrity, the journal takes all reasonable steps to prevent research misconduct, including plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification or fabrication. Manuscripts undergo similarity checks and peer review to ensure originality, data authenticity, and appropriate citations. If misconduct is suspected before or after publication, the journal investigates according to COPE guidelines. Outcomes are communicated transparently on the journal website and to relevant institutions.

Direct Marketing

Any direct marketing activities conducted in the name of the Journal of the Asian Concrete Federation must be appropriate, targeted, and non-intrusive. Invitations for manuscript submission shall be sent only to relevant researchers in the field and must not be excessive or coercive.

All promotional materials, whether related to the journal or its publisher, must be accurate, transparent, and never misleading to readers, authors, or reviewers. The journal is committed to maintaining a high professional standard in communication and promotion, safeguarding the integrity and reputation of academic publishing.

Statement on the Use of Generative AI

Our journal follows international publishing ethics standards. Authors are required to disclose any use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools in the preparation of manuscripts. GenAI tools may only be used to improve language and readability, and cannot replace the authors’ own intellectual contributions. The authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts, including any parts where GenAI tools have been applied.
